PROTOTYPING & SMALL SERIES MANUFACTURING
1 to 3 weeks are usually enough to get, from DT Microcircuits, high
quality prototype runs, including several versions of circuits.

Quick Prototyping service
- The unique quick prototyping process, whose quality has been appreciated
by numerous customers, has been transferred from Thales to DT Microcircuits.
- From the acceptance by DT Microcircuits of the customer design, prototype
runs are usually manufactured within 1 to 2 weeks assuming standard
technologies are used.
- A prototype run usually includes 3 to 5 panels.
- For better efficiency, prototypes lines are available both in France
and in Taiwan.
Several circuits per prototype run
Due to the utilisation of high-speed specific equipment, prototype panels
may include several versions of one or several circuits. This facility,
strongly appreciated by designers allows:
- Insulation into specific test circuits sub-functions to test their
characteristics independently from the other functions of the circuit.
- The design of circuits at the nominal values given by the simulation
and other 10% above or below the nominal to prevent unexpected drifts
of filters for example.
- The test in one run several possible design and, as a consequence,
the reduction of the quantity of. runs to get a product with expected
characteristics.
Every technology available
- Every technology described in DT Microcircuits Design Guides is available
for prototypes even if the use of some of them may increase the lead
time.
- Materials, equipment and processes utilised for prototype manufacturing
are as close as possible to those used at mass-production to make easier
the industrialisation step.
- Technologies in development, not described in Design Guides can,
most of the time, be utilised for prototyping and small series. Whatever
your request, don't hesitate to ask DT Microcircuits.
- Prototypes are usually manufactured under 3"x3" panels.
6"x6" panels are also available.

Small & medium series
- DT Microcircuits have several semi-automatic lines particularly convenient
for small and medium series.
- According to customer quantity and cost targets (circuits costs and
NRE costs) these lines have more or less automated tooling.
- Taiwanese or French lines can be used as a function of customer convenience.
- For small or medium series or for pre-production step, by using prototypes
or half-automatic lines equipped with simple or complex tooling, DT
Microcircuits commonly satisfies orders equivalent to:
ĦE From few 3"x3" panels per year,
ĦE Or several 10,000 cm2 of fired tape per month,
ĦE Up to 150,000 cm2 of fired tape
