DT Microcircuits have implemented in Taiwan a world class LTCC manufacturing lines.

Fully automatic lines

DT Microcircuits puts at the customer's disposal 5 fully automatic lines including:

• High speed matrix punchers with integrated automatic visual inspection
• Specific via-filling and high resolution conductor printers for optimum results
• High precision collating equipment
• Isostatic presses for an uniform and controlled shrinkage during firing
• Automatic pre-cut equipment including PR systems
• 25 inch wide belt furnaces
• Fully automatic DC testers....
  

Every DT Microcircuits' machine:

• Is compatible with 6"x6" to 10"x10" green sheets
• Include cassette loaders and un-loaders.

Line are installed to minimise WIP (work in progress), applying the "Lean Manufacturing Process".

High quality equipment & process

• Conductor line widths and spacing down to 75μm, via pitches down to 100μm, tape to tape alignments down to 25 μm are usually done, at high volume under an excellent yield.
• Laminating and sintering conditions are permanently monitored by the automatic panel dimension measurement to control possible variations in ceramic shrinkage.

Tried & tested process

Over the last 2 years....LTCC substrates have been produced on these lines for the handset market.

Large capacity

The installed capacity can convert:

• 6 million square inches of tape per month when loaded with 6"x6" tapes,
• 11 million square inches of tape per month when loaded with 8"x8" tapes
